Responsible undertakings
As one of the leading ICT companies, Telinsys takes up the role on the level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This movement to more consciously responsible undertakings is now strengthened through innovations.
Corporate Social Responsibility involves the contribution that a company delivers to society as a whole. The most obvious contribution of Telindus is in its activities designed to create value, business opportunities and innovation. The approach to CSR goes even further, so that a company also contributes to the environment in all its forms and to the people inside the company.
Environment
The most visible element of Telinsys' concerns is in the integrated policy on quality, safety and environment that exists since 2004. The management systems linked to this policy ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe and environmentally friendly products and services.
The integrated policy administers the three pillars of CSR: Planet, Profit and People, through formalising these principles in related systems, such as ISO 14001 (environmental standards), ISO 9001 (quality standards) and VCA (safety).
Moreover, the three pillars are part of Telinsys' supplier selection procedure for strategic vendors.
Society
Telinsys goes a step further and consciously chooses to provide an extra contribution to society. Telinsys has developed a number of points around the theme "people", with emphasis on the subject of diversity.
From this point of view, Telinsys fully participates in the new diversity policy, which was outlined In 2006, the diversity plan will be focused on the proportions of both male/female and foreign/native employees.
Innovation
Telinsys supports knowledge and innovation and shares these principles with others as a matter of course. One of these actions revolves around the creation of vocational training for the unemployed. The training will be conducted at the John Cordier Academy and a number of trainees could become employed by the Belgian division of Telinsys.
Business & Society Charter
To assist Telinsys in all of these developments, Telinsys is a member of Business & Society Belgium, a syndicate that promotes socially responsible undertakings in Belgium. As a member, the management team of Telinsys has signed the Business & Society Charter.
With these actions involving responsible undertakings, Telinsys does its part to contribute to positive developments in our society.
Quality, Safety and Environmental Policy
Telinsys is a customer focused organisation. We are committed to delivering to our customers ICT solutions and services that meet the mutually agreed requirements.
Telinsys provides healthy and safe workplaces by minimising and isolating the risks for its employees, contractors and visitors.
We recognise our duty to protect the environment and constantly review all operations and practices to ensure that our processes have a minimum impact on the environment. We will take steps to prevent pollution, conserve resources and energy, minimise emissions and waste and to recycle our products and waste where environmentally practicable.
Therefore, we commit to respect all requirements agreed upon with our customers and to apply all applicable regulations and standards.
We shall implement an Integrated Management System in compliance with ISO9100:2000, VCA2004/04 and ISO14001:2004.
We continuously improve our Integrated Management System, which is why we review and audit our system. Furthermore, we monitor and analyse our performance and the feedback received from customers, employees and other stakeholders in order to identify our quality, safety and environmental objectives and targets.
The Telinsys management will ensure that this policy is communicated and understood in the organisation and that effective management systems are implemented.
